Droid : Icons Have Come a Long Way
The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice show that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had 3 to 5 icons on your mobile phone to tell you everything that's taking place with your cellular world. Nowadays there is plenitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid.
Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there is a call on hold, new voicemail or new e-mail message. You will know if there's an issue with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if data is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology.
If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working.
The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice display that allows for ease in comprehension. The Droid wants this level of icons as it does so much. It has got an aircraft mode where wireless services are mechanically set to off.
All of these icons are show in the standing bar on the top of the Droid. Of course, you get the common icons, but there are icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This suggests that all of the calls, text messages and new mails are all shown in this section. They'll be there until you look after them. This is great for when you are away from your cell-phone.
The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you lots of icons and a green blinking light which will turn on the status bar so you can take care of any pending actions that are shown by the varied icon notices. All that you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the explicit icon that measures up to an action. You can then sort it.
For as cool as the Droid is, often it must be rebooted. You can spot when this is happening when the see-through wheel icon starts spinning non stop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are various types icons for diverse services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy to read and pretty clear cut.
