The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identitfy and tend to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice presentation that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had 3 to 5 icons on your mobile telephone to tell you everything that is taking place with your cellular world. Today there is plethora of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new email message. You may know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if information is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice display that allows for ease in comprehension. The Droid wants this level of icons as it does so much. It even has an aircraft mode where wireless services are instantly set to off. All of these icons are show in the standing bar on the top of the Droid. Naturally, you get the usual icons, but there are icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This indicates that all of the calls, SMS messages and new mails are all shown in this section. They'll be there until you look after them. This is great for when you are away from your mobile phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you plenty of icons and a green blinking light that will activate the standing bar so that you can look after any pending actions that are shown by the varied icon notices. All you need to do then is turn on your Droid and touch the specific icon that corresponds to an action. You can then deal with it. For as cool as the Droid is, often it must be rebooted. You can tell when this is occurring when the translucent wheel icon starts spinning nonstop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for various services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy-to-read and pretty clear cut.
